I’ve always wanted a pair of Chicago AJ1s, and they definitely live up to the hype. The leather feels high quality and looks even better in person—almost too nice to wear every day, but I’ve been doing just that. The fit is true to size for me with a bit of room in the toe, though the ankle area was a little stiff for the first few wears. After breaking them in, they’re comfortable enough for a full day of walking and errands. The grip is fine on dry pavement, but I wouldn’t take them on any slick surfaces.
